This replaced a different brand of dishwasher that was in the house when we bought it. It is such an improvement! The utensil baskets are excellent and are designed so that each item has its own slot and I can put my spoons with wide handles in the basket - which I could not do with my old dishwasher. But my favorite part is the third rack which is good for spatulas, kitchen scissors, blender blades & tops, and other odd pieces which can be tricky to put in the dishwasher. And it cleans better than the old one. I am very happy with my new Bosch.

I have been using the Bosh dishwasher series 500 for now a month, and it is the best dishwasher I ever had. Everythink comes out perfectly clean and I love the air dry option. The racks are configured to hold lots of dishes and it is very quiet. Highly recommended if you need a new dishwasher.

I have been a Bosch customer for 20 plus years having owned a Dishwasher in a home we bought back in 2006. The Dishwasher has performed perfectly but started to make a noise and we were told the pump was going out - well 20 years is 20 years. So we decided to of course but a brand new Bosch Dishwasher because of our previous good experiences. So now the new Dishwasher is installed after a year of waiting for it to arrive - yes supply issues caused the delay. Looks great installed and it also is even more quiet then the original and of course full o features. So why the low rating you ask? It does not dry the dishes after wards. I have read the manual, adjusted the heat settings and still when opening the door everything is wet. The door is dripping, the top shelf is moist with water spots on the dishes and we end up using a towel after every wash to dry the dishes. Never had to do this with the old Dishwasher. Was told by the dealer that the new energy efficient design is prone to this! Really? This is a Bosch and that should not happen. Buyer beware looks are deceiving and now my wife is asking if we can get our old Dishwasher back. Hopefully someone sees this message and contacts us to help.

This is my second Bosch dishwasher (the first one was in a house we bought and it lasted over 20 years!)
Dishes come out very clean. I love the red light shining on the floor to let you know it's on. It's fairly quiet so sometimes you wouldn't notice.
I'm not a huge fan of the top shelf/rack and have removed it at this point. It's a bit bulkier than other ones I've had, and it was causing smaller plates and other dishes not to fit in the rack below. I haven't played with a lot of the settings, but the normal, Auto setting seems to be working great.

This is my second Bosch dishwasher. The first I left in the place I sold. When I bought a place to do a gut reno, I knew I wanted another. We have an open plan, so it had to be quiet. I like the 3rd tray and the adjustable height middle rack for taller items. Each rack has adjustable tines. The efficient layout holds at least one-third more dishes. There's a Speed60 setting when you need your dishes faster.

The dishwasher is extremely quiet. The dishes are very clean as well. However, it is not as dry as we expect. While the dishes at the 2nd and bottom rack are usually dry, those at the top rack is sometimes not completely dry with water droplet all over the perimeter of the top rack. If I pull out the top rack first, the water droplets can spill to the two racks below.

Leveling during installation was easy. There is a fitting on the front that will raise or lower the back of the dishwasher. The buttons feal a little loose. Worried how long they will continue to work. The most important thing is that it does clean the dishes.

I recently bought this dishwasher and couldn't be more pleased. The dishs are always sparlking clean. I usually run the dishwasher every other day so depending on the type of food on the dishes, I have experimented with rinsing and just scraping. Scraping seems to do the trick, they are always clean. The features that set this apart from other dishwashers I have owned are: 1) The top shallow rack, so perfect for many items, 2) the quiet factor and the red light 3) the auto door opening feature.
I have only had this dishwasher about 6 weeks, but so far it has not disapointed me in any way.

I have been enjoying my new dishwasher very much. It is quiet and cleans dishes, etc. very well. My only comment for a suggestion is to have a shorter wash cycle than 1/2 load which runs for 1 hr. & 40 minutes.

The 3rd rack eliminates bending over to unload utensils. Dishwasher is amazingly quiet and with the air dry feature no issue with metal or plastic.

The dishwasher is VERY quiet. The top shelf for glasses with a 25 year old Bosch Dishwasher was much bigger than this one. We have to run the dishwasher every other day. Used to run it once every 4 days.

We chose Bosch as our new dishwasher after our trusty Kenmore gave up the ghost after 16 years of service. Clearly Bosch aspires to be upscale and in many ways it is. So far it's certainly cleaning well, although I suspect part of the reason for that may be our concurrent change from Cascade's classic liquid detergent to their newer pod formulation. Those pods are certainly more convenient.
On the downside, here are my issues so far.
First, it's annoying that the machine does not display a persistent "Clean" status following completion of a cycle. As an example, this was something Kenmore nailed with a simple LED which came on at the end of the cycle then remained lit until the washer door was opened and reclosed, following stowing of the clean dishes. Helpful for family members other than the one who initiated the cycle, right? No longer any need for those "Clean/Dirty" flip signs popular in the 1980s.
Rather than take Kenmore's simple approach, our new Bosch has a "Clean" LED too, but since our model has concealed controls, the LED remains hidden until the door is open. Unfortunately, as soon as the door is opened, the LED goes off after about 5 seconds. Worse still, if the optional feature "AutoAir" is enabled, the door opens automatically at the end of the cycle, and nobody at all sees the clean indication. That is, unless someone with nothing better to do elected to stake out the washer for 2 hours and 58 minutes which is the full cycle time.
The absence of a family-friendly "clean" indication is one which the Bosch engineers need to work out.
But I'm more concerned with a deformed gasket on my unit. I'm not talking about the gasket which forms the seal between the door and washer body. That seal is critical. Any deformation would result in water on our floor, which there is none.
Instead, I mean the filler which spans the void between the outside edge of the washer and the cabinet frame into which the washer is installed. Our gasket has 2 places in which it is permanently folded over, one for 2" and another for 5.5". This seems like something Bosch Quality Control missed since the fold is so rigid it must have formed during manufacture and not by mishandling by our professional installer.
Now, you may say that these two things are minor issues. Ok, maybe to some buyers. As I mentioned above, the washer is good at cleaning dishes. Plus, there's no water on the kitchen floor and at least one person in our family always knows the dishes are clean. But for a total price of over $1,350 including installation and tax, I tend to expect perfection.

First, the good:
This thing is incredibly quiet! You can hold a conversation at normal volume right next to it while it's running.
The AutoAir function, whereby the door opens automatically at the end of the cycle, works like a charm.
It gets dishes very clean while using less detergent than my old d/w.
The not-so-good: It seems to have a little less interior volume than my old Kenmore, although my impression was that the Kenmore was larger than its predecessor.
The angled tines on the 2 lower racks are not helpful -- it would be better if they were vertical.
The silverware baskets could stand to be a little larger, although one could use the skinny little top rack for any overflow.
Overall, I'm happy with the dishwasher, and would recommend it to anyone who asks.

I bought my Bosch dishwasher at the start of the summer, and so far, it's never had water in it! I'm still waiting for the company to replace this lemon with another one. I'm hoping that the second one will live up to the excellent reputation Bosch has. I must admit, I'm losing patience.

This diswasher cleans so well and has plenty of room for everything. Shelves are easily adjustable and the silverware drawer is a great bonus. It is also super quiet. You can hear the water at times, but usually you need to rely on the light to even konw that it's on.

I love this dishwasher. It is quiet, spacious, efficient, and the top rack makes it so that I can just remove the cutlery baskets entirely, radically increasing load sizes. The variery of cycles is good. I love it.

We are very happy with this dishwasher! It is incredibly quit and our dishes and utensils come out squeaky clean. The buttons are very easy to use! I love that it has a specific "on/off" button & that a red dot lights the floor beneath the dishwasher while it is running! If it wasn't for that light signal, we wouldn't always know that it is running...because it's so quiet! We have an open floor plan, so this is very important to us! I also like the versatility it offers for loading dishes. I brought a couple of my big dinner plates to the store when I was shopping and this dishwasher fit better than any other! Just hoping it lasts for more than ( years!! Amazing little machine!

If you are looking for a quality dishwasher that is quiet, cleans completely and has a lot of ways to customize the racks, this one is for you. I have had quiet dishwashers before but this one is by far the quietest. It has a light that shines on the floor so you will know it is actually running. I love the fact that at the end of the cycle, the door opens automatically so any residual moisture can evaporate. I have been in the room when the cycle finished and when the door opened I didn't see any remaining moisture but it is nice to know it can evaporate if there is any. The open door is also a great signal that the dishes inside are clean. My flatware that used to have water spots - despite using JetDri - now looks almost new. I love the flatware rack which not only holds the flatware separately so pieces don't get scratched but it also is a great spot for small bowls and ramekens that I couldn't put in my old machine for fear they would fall through to the bottom. We are still experimenting with the best placement of dishes, etc. but the racks hold my odd sized items securely and I don't have to worry about things banging together during the wash cycle. I can't think of anything about this machine I would do to improve it.

I have only purchased Bosch dishwashers. I purchased by first one for my family when I was 18. I'm twice that age now and still swear by the brand. They are the quietest dishwashers available. I find them to be long lasting too.
I love this dishwasher. It's quieter than my last Bosch and didn't think that was possible. It does a great job cleaning my dishes.
The reason for 4 / 5 stars is because AutoDry adds extra time to the wash cycle. I wish there was an option to just open the door at the end of the cycle. A full dry cycle may not be needed.
Still it works great and is quiet. I recommend any model Bosch to anyone who asks.

I love my new Bosch dishwasher. In my home, the kitchen is an "L" shape adjoining the TV area. This dishwasher is so quiet, I have to look at the bottom "on" light to tell if it's on. Cleans great, and I love the utensils holder. Best I've ever used!!

I lucked out and found an open box item from BestBuy and got a really good deal on it. It works like a charm. I can barely tell that it's running because it is the quietest dishwasher I have ever owned, but the red light lets me know for sure. Everything comes out clean as well. The cycles are a little long, but it's still an energy and water saver.

I bought this for a number of features it has but one feature was particularly important for me, and that was the self-opening door at the end of the complete cycle. The purpose of the self-opening is to let the hot air and residual moisture escape from the interior tub after the wash cycle is completed. Unfortunately, this feature stopped working after the warranty expired. I paid an appliance repairman to fix it and it worked once again but only for about three months before it stopped working again. So now I don't have the self-opening feature which was the reason I bought this model in the first place. Thus, 3-stars.

This thing fits a lot of dishes. it washes well. It does a good job of not getting little bits of food on the dishes. it filters them out in the filter in the bottom. It does not have a heat dry. Which was annoying when my home was too humid the dishes would be wet for a long time. So I need to make sure to leave them out for hours to let them dry naturally. the top rack always pools water. so after it runs and auto opens I make sure to dump the top rack water that has pooled. And also shaket the other racks to shake off the water. Then it is easier for it to dry on it's own.

We loved our new dishwasher for about 6 months. Then the bottom rack kept coming off the track causing all of the dishes to crash. We bought the extended warranty, but since the issues started happening while still under Bosch warranty, Bosch is handling. They have ordered a new rack for us, but cannot tell us when it will arrive. NOTHING! So frustrated and disappointed.

So quiet it has a light to let you know it is running. 3rd rack is great for knives, spatulas, measuring spoons, all that stuff that doesn't fit elsewhere and you used to wash by hand. Everything comes out clean and completely dry every time. The easiest cleaning filter ever. Highly recommend this dishwasher. Can't think of any way to make it better. Well maybe if it would load and unload itself?

The "sour pill" for us was poor drying functionality of this dishwasher. Only after setting it to 'd01' (enhanced drying) and adding rinsing liquid, did it worked somehow (and even then - only in the Auto mode and not for half load). Without rinsing agent it does not dry at all. Period! This is a big step down compared to our old Kenmore dishwasher. We scheduled a visit from a maintenance company that worked with Bosch and the technician just told us that there's no error code and that meant that the unit worked as expected. Well, it was almost like saying that "the patient who died was absolutely healthy".

I had this dishwasher installed on 7/13/21. Spent the money on Bosch because I didn't want to deal with dishwasher problems. By 11/11/21 it would no longer turn on. Waited almost a month for a repair appointment. The circuit board had to be replaced. Very upset with Bosch.

The new dishwasher ran for two days. I had to wait almost for the service. You have to change the drain and wait another 15 days. Buy a dishwasher with only two days of use and no possibility of replacing it with a new one. I have to wait almost two months for the fix !!

I bought the diswasher in June. It was installed in July. Now, in November, (a) I can't change settings no matter how many times I follow the instructions and (b) after following all instructions now it won't turn on at all. It is getting electricity but won't reset by turning off the breaker for a few minutes. As of November, I cannot use it, and I cannot get a repair appointment till December. The dishwasher is lovely when it works, but it cost way too much to have such serious problems in less than 6 months. I spent the money for reliability after researching dishwashers. And I still don't have a dishwasher. Over Thanksgiving, no less. I am very upset with Bosch.

This is our second purchase of a Bosch dishwasher. As expected, the dishwasher works well and it looks nice in our new kitchen. The dishwasher is extremely quiet which is nice since we have an open floorplan. The only thing I think that has gone downhill over the years is the quality of the racks. They seems to be cheap plastic with wheels that don't exactly fit well or roll well within the dishwasher.
