We chose this model over others due to the ice delivery system. It holds more, and makes faster than other models in the same category as this. It has a slight hum, but we've gotten used to it after a few days. Don't even recognize it anymore.

If you are a cook, or have a big household,. this refrigerator will suit your needs. Bought this a month ago when our previous refrigerator died after 16 years (also a Whirlpool); once it was plugged in, it cooled off in the expected 24 hours and was ready to go. It includes a 3-drawer freezer with a deep bottom drawer that can be changed around - it fits all of my foods containers in nice, stable stacks -and is very easy to access all drawers - very important to me, as I do a lot of cooking and keep a lot of prepared ingredients frozen & at the ready. We don't eat frozen pizza, but find that the pizza nook in the freezer fits alcohol bottles nicely; for anyone who uses gin & vodka, this is a handy extra. Also has moisture control in the produce drawers that works very well & the meat/dairy drawer also has an adjustable temperature, very helpful since we keep a wide variety of food that rotates in and out quickly. It can sound a bit noisy when it is cooling off, but I think that is because it normally runs VERY quiet, and the noise lasts a very short amount of time. Very happy about this purchase.

Purchased this fridge almost a month ago and we are loving all the room and storage cubbies. There is a place for everything so items aren't just thrown anywhere, which makes it easier to find what you are looking for. Also happy with the bluetooth speaker!

I have arranged for the return of the Whirlpool French Dore refrigerator. I like the design and the interior arrangement, and the refrigerator section works fine. However, the ice-maker is a problem. It produces an insufficient amount of ice in a 24 hour period for my use alone, let alone a family or guests. In addition, the ice ejection system is such that the ice shoots out all over the floor unless I cup both hands around the glass and the opening to contain it. I had a service technician out, and he said this was normal for this refrigerator and that there was nothing wrong with it. I communicated with Whirlpool both by phone and by email with an unsatisfactory response. I will buy another brand of refrigerator.

This model is a factory replacement of the previous model in which we had continual problems. The models are very similar including the problems with the ice maker. After 4 months of diagnostics Whirlpool sent us and entirely new refrigerator and things seemed ok until the new one started doing the same thing. Whirlpool said the 'new' model did not have its own warranty, but went off the warranty from the original purchase so the problems with this one would not be covered.

replacement refrigerator doing the same thing, ice buildup in the ceiling seam and inside back wall due to design problem that whirlpool decided not to fix properly,asked for a different model but they send you through multiple repair hoops that never solve the problem. help!!!!

I recently bought a house in May of 2015. The seller bought this fridge as part of their renovation before selling the home to me. The refrigerator just broke. Service tech basically said the compressor, computer relay, and most likely the evaporator stopped working and it wouldn't be worth it to repair it (the tech was my brother so he wasn't looking to make money). Ended up having to just get a new fridge.

I bought my new refrigerator after buying a new house. I had seen that it came with the coolvox speaker and have used it every since. I love everything about it. The refrigerator is a great size for all the snacks my pre teens need for after school. It's very easy to clean out and love the fact that the ice maker is removable. I love this product and look forward to purchasing many more whirlpool products.

Well designed. Roomy and the freezer is well designed too. The ice maker is in the door so it doesn't take up room in the refrigerator. I am extremely pleased. The coolVox is a bonus and I use it a lot, especially when I didn't think I would use it at all! I love the refrigerator!

Well this is fridge # 3. Thats right . nobody gould fix the other 2 and after 6 weeks not too sure this will be any better. Eratic temps in the unit but i will wait a couple more weeks before i call in... This is without a doubt the absoutly WORST purchase in my life.would just like my money back ...would buy 2 smaller fridges...maybe new technology but it aint worth a penny. One made in the 50s may have been low tech but it worked for 50 years ..nuf said. Pure junk!!!....thats right I am not happy!!!

I bought my refrigerator 2 years ago. It was the model that this one replaced. I decided to by the extended warranty after 2 years. Refrigerator needed a new compressor which I had installed. It still would not cool. Found I needed a new evaporator. At this point I had had enough and decided to by a new refrigerator. Whirlpool customer was no help.

My family and I really enjoy this refrigerator. Our only complaint is the water dispenser is in front of the ice dispenser. This is somewhat of a distance from the push button at the back of the dispense slot. Some of our regular size cups can not be used to activate the water dispenser and be filled at the same time. The water dispenser will shoot the water all over your hand. You just have to make sure the mouth of the cup lines up and use your hand to activate. No that big of a deal. Just a lesson learned!

Beautiful refrigerator. Mine was louder than I expected. Be sure to buy the extended warranty because just after the manufacturer 's warranty expires, you'll call for service when it quits cooling the top and melts everything in your freezer. I'm buying an evaporator and compressor for the tune of $700 plus service calls. Whirlpool customer service was a waste of time.

we bought this model approximately 5 years ago. this is the second fridge from whirlpool we have purchased. the door seals have already torn. the shelf with the drawers never has stayed in place and always falls down. most recently a rust hole on the outside stainless steel has developed just about 8" below the water and ice dispenser, with a slow stream of water coming out. what a major disappointment. because all my appliances are whirlpool

I am in love with the arrangement of refrigerator and freezer compartments!!! I had a side by side previously, and complained year after year that with such a big refrigerator I had no room to store items. With large tailgate parties coming up, I can't wait as trays and many items will now fit without total reconfiguration each time. Come on football, I'm ready this year!!! Many Thanks to Whirlpool....and I can't wait to play our fight song when the tailgaters arrive at our home...so far I have been able to fool several people thinking that my refrigerator plays music.....it's a ball...well worth the price for a great refrigerator!!!!! Already several friends are remarking they need to get this model!!!!

It is a replacement for the same 29 Cu. ft. one - definitely felt lack of those lost 2 cu.ft.Bluetooth probably is attraction for some, but my opinion better be an optional feature.

Layout is great but I continue to have problems with water and ice forming inside of refrigerator under ice maker. Contacted Whirlpool 6 times and they send out second party service to repair or look at machine each time.It just gets worse. This is a definite design flaw that Whirlpool does not seem to have a solution.

I bought the first Whirlpool refrigerator about 2 yrs ago. Since then I have had it replaced twice. The refrigerator section doesn't cool to an acceptable temp. The freezer works great though. Whirlpool has been great due to the fact that they have tried to fix the refrigerators, replacing several parts and finally the refrigerators. Just waiting to see what can be done for this "third " refrigerator.

We have had this fridge for a little over a month and are still waiting for it to be "adequate". It was delivered with a dented door, replacement came with a bigger dent than the original so it was sent back, now the third door is on and it is not level with the right side. When you open the doors, they flop back open unless you are constantly hanging on to them. The ice maker is also a little noisy and fingerprints are everywhere on this fridge!!I would not purchase it again if I was given the option.

We were so impressed with the style, workmanship and features that our whole plan changed. We were so excited by it that we insisted that we needed it the next day and we got it! I bought this 36-inch Wide French Door Refrigerator with CoolVox?? Kitchen Sound System - 27 cu. ft six months ago and it is the best frig I have ever owned. The MicroEdge? Glo Shelves is a much added feature that really allows you to see what is in the frig. No dark hidden spots in this frig. The lighting is your yellow light and not that purple light that seems to hurt my eyes. It has tons and tons of lights in it including under the shelves as well. The ice storage is in the french door giving you more room in the actual frig to put food. In the freezer there are two upper sliding drawers and a spacious lower basket make organizing frozen food easy. There is also a spot right in front of the freezer for pizza storage. AccuFresh? Dual Cooling Technology is also a very nice feature that truly does keep the food fresher and crisper. The coolvox kitchen sound system is just another added feature that I just love and use all the time. It is a premium Bluetooth?? audio device from Harman Kardon?, made specifically for the top of the refrigerator and you never see it when the doors are closed. We use it all the time and the blue-tooth technology makes it so convenient to play Pandora through my Iphone. Now the ice and water through the door I feel is the best feature of all. This unit allows you to actually put a tall traveling thermos in the door and it fits to where you can put it there and walk away and not have to stand there holding the thermos because it does not fit in the door. You also can customize the ice and water where if you have a 20oz sports bottle you can program it to 20oz and you can walk away and do other things while your 20oz sports bottle is being filled and not have to stand there pushing the button in back to fill it. It is like a set it and forget it thing that I truly like and use all the time. I do not have one bad thing to say about this refrigerator. It has gone way beyond meeting my expectations. I have never ever had a refrigerator like this one and it is the best purchase I have ever made. The frig is so modern looking and very stylish. You will NOT be disappointed at all with this frig if you purchase it. Actually you will be completely happy and amazed by this frig just as I am. I can not say enough good things about how well this frig performs and is so functionable.

I have this refrigerator after having the model before it be a complete mess and deemed unrepairable. Whirlpool made it good though, and gave me this one. So far, so good. I really do love the drawer to put lunch meats in - the ability to keep the food super cold makes it last longer. Although I never would have bought a fridge with the bluetooth (as I already had a player for my kitchen), I love the way this one is "hidden" and the sound quality is great. I love that the freezer has three drawers also. The kids have no issues finding their waffles in the morning. I am giving this fridge four stars instead of five because having been burned by the disaster of the previous fridge's ice maker issues, I'm nervous that I will have the same problems. So far though, it has been GREAT. We have ice and no problems - with a house of 7 kids, all athletes, ice is imperative.

My frustration set in within a day of purchasing this unit. The User Manual and Instructions have no correlation to the actual functions. The User Manual has a picture of Produce Preserver and there is a hook in the fridge but the actual Preserver that came with the unit neither looks like what is shown in the manual; it seems to be a stand-alone unit shipped as an after thought.The Water Filter installation is very, very tricky. The whole fridge and my kitchen floor got inundated with water because of the water leakage.The air filter housing is flimsy and does not open or close properly and the the plastic cover feels as if it will break.The Doors do not align and the installation guys indicated that there is nothing that can be done.Lastly, the fridge have a big display panel and lots of indicators but it does not have basic Temperature display. there is no way to know what is the current temperature in Freezer or the fridge.Overall very disappointed with the design, features and the quality.CoolVox is just a gimmick. It is a stand alone Bluetooth Speaker that rests on top of the fridge.
